5. Working with Text

This section of the documentation explains how text works in Sophie books. In this release of Sophie, text editing is limited; in future releases, more functionality will be added. The way text works now is not necessarily the way it will work in the future.

For now, a text frame is added to a Sophie page by using Insert > Text. This will insert a new 280 x 210 pixel text frame.

You'll note that there's a special halo visible, the text halo:

If you click on this, you can open the text HUD, which looks like this:

Text editing functionality does exist internally in Sophie 2; it's been disabled for this release, and will return shortly. You can download Release 2 if you're interested in seeing Sophie's text-handling abilities in action.
